Driver installation for Windows 7 32 bit:
- Download drivers for Windows 7 32 bit.
- Unzip downloaded archive.
- Go to unzipped archive and click on install.bat.
- Wait until drivers will be successfully installed.
- Close the installation program.
Driver installation for Windows 8, 8.1 or 10:
Driver installation for older versions of Windows is little bit more complicated and requiring Driver Signature Verification. For different version there are different methods.
How to disable driver signature verification for Windows 8 and 8.1:
- Press WIN+I buttons on your keyboard to open Settings menu.
- Press Change PC Settings.
- Press General.
- Under Advanced Setup press Restart Now
- After your computer restarting, press Troubleshoot.
- Press Advanced options
- Press Startup Settings
- Click Restart button.
- After your computer restarts in the opened menu press 7 on your keyboard to Disable driver signature enforcement.
- Wait until your computer restart. After this driver signature verification will be disabled, but remember that it will be enabled again after next restart.
How to disable driver signature verification for Windows 10:
- Click the Start menu and select Settings.
- Click Update and Security.
- Click on Recovery.
- Click Restart now under Advanced Startup.
- Click Troubleshoot.
- Click Advanced options.
- Click Startup Settings.
- Click on Restart.
- On the Startup Settings screen press 7 or F7 to disable driver signature enforcement.
- Wait until your computer restart. After this driver signature verification will be disabled, but remember that it will be enabled again after next restart.
Driver Installation Process:
Once you disabled driver signature enforcement you may start driver installation.
- Download drivers
- Unzip the archive with drivers.
- Open the Device Manager on your Windows.
- Select the first line in the list and then press Action.
- In the Action panel choose Add legacy hardware
- In the opened window press Next.
- Choose Install the hardware that I manually select from a list and press Next
- Choose Show All Devices and press Next button.
- Press Have Disk
- In the opened window press Browse and find the unzipped folder with drivers.
- Choose x86 if you 32bit type of Windows OS. Choose x64 if you have 64bit type of Windows OS.
- After you chose the right version press OK button.
- In the list choose MTK USB Port and press Next button.
- It may happen that red window will appear. Choose Install this driver software anyway.
- Wait until installation finished.
- If you’ve done everything right next drivers going to be installed:
MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port
MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port
MTK USB DEBUG Port
MTK USB Modem Port
MTK USB port
Now we need to delete installed device but keep the drivers.
1. For that we need to return to the Device Manager.
2. We need to find MTK USB Port (COM(any number)) in the list and click with the Right Button on it and after that choose Uninstall.
3. In the opened window press OK.
